Privacy Policy for DoseChime
Last Updated: April 9, 2026
DoseChime (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. The app may appear under localized titles on the App Store in some regions; this policy still applies. It explains how we handle information in connection with our iOS application. The structure aligns with our LinkManager privacy policy for consistency.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Data You Provide in the App
The app may let you enter family profiles, medications and doses, reminder schedules, intake history, stock levels, and similar information. This content is stored primarily on your device unless you export it, back it up to a location you choose, or share it through system features.
1.2 Technical and Diagnostic Data (If Enabled)
We may receive anonymized or aggregated data through Apple’s mechanisms or optional crash/analytics tools, such as:
- Crash reports and performance diagnostics
- App version, device model, and OS version
What is collected depends on your system settings and whether such tools are enabled in the shipped build.
1.3 Notifications and Alarms
To remind you on time, the app may request notifications, alarms, or related permissions. You control this in iOS Settings; denying permission may limit reminders.
2. Data Usage
We use information to:
- Provide reminders, calendar/history, stock features, and related functionality
- Improve stability and usability
- Meet legal obligations where required
3. Data Sharing
We do not:
- Sell your personal medication records for advertising profiling
- Use your medication content for ad targeting
We may share limited information only when:
- You choose to share, export, or back up data to a third-party service
- Law or competent authorities require it
- Service providers assist our operations under contract with a minimum-necessary approach (for example, if optional cloud features exist and you opt in)
Anonymous aggregated statistics may be shared with analytics or crash-reporting services when those SDKs are enabled.
4. Security
We rely on:
- iOS platform protections for on-device storage
- Your control over backups, exports, and app deletion (back up first if you need to keep data)
5. Children’s Privacy
Our application:
- Is not directed at children under 13
- Does not knowingly collect children’s personal information as part of our service
If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us using the email below.
6. Storage and Cross-Border Transfers
Data is device-first. If you save files to servers outside your country, the provider’s terms govern that transfer and storage.
7. Your Rights
Where applicable law grants rights (access, correction, deletion, restriction, etc.), you may exercise them as the law allows. For data stored locally, you can usually manage it in the app or by deleting the app (back up first if needed).
8. Policy Changes
We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes may be communicated through:
- Updates on this page
- In-app notices when appropriate
